No experience required - this is for those of you intrigued by yoga but something has been holding you back. Explore with instructors dedicated to introducing you to the basics - simple poses and breathing exercises to get you started. You know you want to!
Gentle Yoga (All Levels):
This is a great class for students looking for a more gentle experience, those who are new to yoga or those who need a change of pace, yet still have the option to take it to the next level. Incorporate breath and movement, easier and modified postures, body awareness, gentle stretching and strengthening, and relaxation. Whether you have specific physical challenges, would prefer a slower and more gentle practice, or just want the opportunity to slow down and relax, you will benefit. Also the perfect class for students with injuries or limitations, you’ll be guided through postures in a flow style beginning with the basic poses, but allowing for more challenging poses based on your practice level. Props are introduced encouraged to allow the body to fully achieve each pose comfortably.
Strength and Balance for Seniors:
We all need better balance to move freely and avoid falls. Whether your goal is to move more confidently, prevent injury from falling or even prepare for surgery this class is for you. Focusing on alignment, body awareness and strength this class will help your build balance and overall health.
All levels welcome and students who wish to will be invited to take poses to the next level. Fundamentals of poses and
breath are explored in greater depths. Postures are held longer and personal variations may emerge as
spontaneous expressions of one’s unique abilities, energy levels, knowledge and comfort.
This specialty class focuses on resetting the parasympathetic nervous system and spinal column as you move through simple, supported, calming poses with bolsters, blankets, and eye pillows. You can expect soothing music, meditation, calming essential oil therapy, and breath practice, restoring yourself to peace and ease.
